All Saints' Church, Morton, Illinois

A Theologically and Biblically Orthodox Church in the Anglican Tradition

All Saints Church on Dedication Day - October 10, 1965

All Saints Church began as a Mission in 1964 when a group of parishioners from St. Paul's, Pekin and St. Paul's Cathedral, Peoria met to establish a mission in Morton.  The name All Saints' was chosen and these founding members began to meet in the basement of the Morton Community Bank.  After consulting with Bishop Chambers (Then Bishop of the Diocese of Springfield) in 1965, they purchased the current property at 201 West Chicago Street.  The church had formerly been a Mennonite Church, so some renovations were needed to make it conform to the Anglican style of worship with its emphasis on the Altar.  A preliminary remodel was completed an on June 24th, 1965, Bishop Chambers consecrated All Saints' Church.  We celebrated our 43rd anniversary of the founding of the parish this June.
